Prepare the following ingredients:
- 1/2 cup organic pureed pumpkin
- 1/2 cup organic brown sugar
- 1/2 cup baking soda
- 1 tbsp extra virgin olive oil
- 1 tbsp honey
- Essential oil (optional)
Combine all of the ingredients in a clean bowl and stir it with a clean spoon. You can have your mini spa at home by taking the mixture to the bathroom. Set the mood by adding few candles. Soften up your skin in warm bath. Soak in it for at least 15 minutes to soften up your skin and to open your pores. Once you are done soaking, you can pat dry your skin. Never apply the scrub to your wet skin since it will just melt away rather than exfoliating your skin. Put a small amount of scrub on a part of your dry body and rub it up and down. The sugar’s abrasiveness will get rid of your dead skin cells. Spend a good amount of time on each of your part to get best results. However, avoid being too rough on your skin especially if you have sensitive skin. Use the right pressure that you are comfortable with.
Once you are done, you can shake the sugar crystals of your body. Rinse the rest of the pumpkin scrub off your skin and feel your skin become silky soft. You can also remove the scrub using wet washcloth to get rid of the residue. Make sure that you are thoroughly cleaned after your scrub and check areas for sugar crystals. After your bath, apply your favorite lotion or pumpkin moisture body cream to seal in moisture.
